ADULT DOG SERVICES
For dogs and puppies over 6 months old
PRIVATE TRAINING IN HOME
A personalized and professional training program to helping you get the most out of your dog in the comfort of your own home. Private training requires the owners to do a lot of the work. Please be prepared to change how you live with your dog to best utilize the training tools you will learn at Follow Me K9. These Private sessions are for dogs without major behavioral problems, (including but not limited to, reactivity, resource guarding, aggression).
Each client will receive a "Rules For Success" informational sheet after the first session. These rules and your homework are vital to your dog's success. The most successful clients are ones who make training a priority and practice every day. It is a lifestyle. It's not a bunch of tricks.
Sessions will take approximately one hour.
Basic sessions include commands wherever the dog is at: sit, down, come, heel, place, recall, etc.. building a relationship, impulse control.

ADVENTURE HIKES
Adventure hikes are a way to let your dog be a dog and live life to the fullest! This is a great alternative to dog daycare (It's more structured and more fulfilling as they are walking as well as playing and exploring the world together.)
These can be on leash or off leash. I provide the off leash e-collar training. I will only allow your dog off leash if they have been off leash E-collar trained. It is recommended (but not required,) to have a GPS collar on your dog so that if they do get away, they are able to be found. We are typically gone anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 2 1/2 hours just depending on which trail we take and how far we drive to the hiking location. We don't go further than a half hour away from Helena usually.

Group hikes with other dogs are $50 per hike (packages and discounts available for multiple bookings per week.)

Solo hike for a dog that may be working through reactivity or aggression - these dogs may need more individual focus and training help. $75 per hike.
PACK WALKS
Pack Walks are offered to clients only. The client must have completed a package of sessions and have a good understanding of handling and how to work your dog through problems before they can attend. We always have our trainer at the pack walk so that she can help you through difficulties. The goal of these pack walks are to teach dogs to be neutral to people and other dogs in public. Dogs learn from each other.
We believe in building a bond with your dog and teaching them how to engage with you and then introducing them to the group setting. This way we teach them to have good public manners and be a model Canine citizen.

$30 per Pack Walk.
HOME SCHOOL
Home School is a program where I go to your home during the day for an hour, I give your dog a training session, some play time, some potty time and I send you videos and pictures on what we work on.
Private session 1x per week with your trainer.
$300 per week or $1,200 per month. ($60/day) If you are interested in long term solutions, please message me.
OFF LEASH E-COLLAR TRAINING
Follow Me K9 is proud to provide e-collar training to our clients. This is a totally new approach to dog training! We use the e-collar on extremely low, comfortable levels, paired with positive reinforcement, to teach your dog to check in with you. It's similar to tapping a person on the shoulder to get their attention. When the dog understands it, it becomes a fun game. It is by far the best tool for helping dogs through reactivity and aggression as well as perfecting that recall. E-collar training is optional for the client, however we do recommend it for any client who wants off leash freedom for their dog, and the security of knowing your dog will come back every time. E-collar work is great for every dog. We do free e-collar demonstrations to anyone that is interested.
Please note that we do not condone the use of the e-collar as a "Shock Collar." With great power comes great responsibility. Our responsibility to our dogs is to teach clear communication.
We do not condone doing e-collar training without the help of a professional.
We work with a specific brand of e-collar for a reason. Not all electronic collars are made equal. It is very important to have an electronic collar that is versatile and that is comfortable for your dog in order to do the training in a way that is a positive experience for your dog.

E-collar training requires at minimum 3 sessions for a well behaved dog and 5+ for any behavioral problems.

I customize the e-collar to your dog based on your dog's coat type and distance you need. (Additional cost)

Different collars with longer distances and different remotes are available upon request - there may be an additional charge.

All e-collars are waterproof, rechargeable, come with a 2 year warranty, have an LED light built in for walking at night time, and the remote floats.

I can order them directly. Some clients choose to order the e-collar themselves, I just ask that you clear the one you purchase with me. (Link to the e-collar on my "Products I Love" Page.) If I'm unfamiliar with the model you purchase, I most likely won't work with it. Many electronic collars are too strong and not versatile enough for working with dogs. Quality is very important in this case - which is why I choose the company I do.
JUMPSTART
Jumpstart is a program where it is a more intense training schedule, but you get more in faster. It's three consecutive days of 1 1/2 hour sessions. We work on dog psychology - how to teach the owner how to more effectively communicate with their dogs. I teach owners how to lead their dog. This package includes leash handling skills, how to use the leash, body language, and spatial pressure to communicate with your dog. We work on calming exercises, long line, and how to teach your dog to live in your home. This is an excellent program for puppies to adults. It helps you become a better handler and helps your dog learn how to think instead of just blind react to everything.

3 - 1.5 hr sessions for 3 consecutive days for a limited time is $300. (Normally $360.).

If you live outside of my service area, I do charge a fee if travel to your home is over 30 mins.

E-collar may be used with this program - extra fees apply to that. I do buy a comfort pad to match the coat type as well.
